- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This is an incredible hidden gem in Smithers. It is a short hike from the trail head, which is a very short drive from Smithers. You can drive there quite easily with a car and there is ample parking and places to turn around. The trailhead features a set of washrooms, and an info hut. There are also places to set up a tent. A short walk up a well made path will take you to a Y in the trail and you can either continue on the Glacier Gulch trail, or to the viewing platform for Twin Falls. The trail does gain a little in elevation, but it is not so steep that a four year old can't walk it. It might take you 15 minutes from trailhead to viewing platform and once you get there, you will be made breathless, not by a lack of cardiovascular health, but by the view.
